Klass Act Productions and Shuckers Restaurant and Lounge have teamed up to provide you with an awesome Hump-Day Karaoke party! Shuckers provides an atmosphere of diversity - all are welcome - and that diversity is reflected in the singers' song choices. You can hear or sing about anything here and know that the crowd will be appreciative. Mike Barefield debuted at Shuckers on October 1, 2008 to a light crowd. For those of you who have never attended a Klass Act Karaoke event, we do things a bit differently.  Our singers are very important to us and we do our best to give everyone the opportunity to sing as often as they like throughout the evening, but we do provide periodic dance sets, usually two to three songs per set a few times a night, to appease the karaoke-haters.  I know it's hard for those of us who love karaoke to imagine that such people exist, but there are always a few at every karaoke performance.  The goal of bar owners in having karaoke, of course, is to increase business.  To that end, Klass Act strives to make it a really fun evening for everyone.  Come check us out!

Clear your calendar!  Beginning Tuesday, September 23, Mike Barefield will host karaoke at The River Bistro.  Don't let the upscale look of The River Bistro fool you.  On Tuesday nights, it's party central for real, old-school karaoke.  There is plenty of parking, great food, and a super friendly staff to make the evening more enjoyable.  Head to 3575 Bridge Road (Bennetts Creek Shopping Center) in Suffolk.  Map and Directions  The fun starts at 9:00 PM.  See you there!

Klass Act is now appearing twice a week at Squirrely's at 3107 Airline Blvd. Thanks to your continued patronage and a fairly dramatic increase in business, Squirrely's is hosting karaoke on Mondays from 8PM to midnight and on Thursdays from 9PM to 1AM. If you have not stopped by this venue, you're missing out! Squirrely's - where the nuts gather!

I recently learned that Mixers, one of our favorite karaoke venues is no longer in business.  I know that the owners had some serious issues with the City of Norfolk - in my opinion, wholly undeserved problems - created by the City with respect to the parking lot which affected Mixers' occupancy permit.  I haven't been able to speak with the owners, but based upon the phone message on Mixers' answering machine, I assume that Mixers is closed for good.
