Weddings

On what is considered by most, the most important day of one's life, your wedding day, you certainly want to do "due diligence" with respect to your reception entertainment. You have a number of options and each of them has pros and cons.

Do you want a band, a "wedding singer" or a DJ? Well, if you can find a great and affordable band or wedding singer, those are wonderful options, but good luck with that! One need only watch Fox's popular American Idol's yearly auditions to know that not everyone who purports to be a singer is, in fact, a singer! Bands that are really tight, well-rehearsed and have a repertoire sufficient to entertain the broad range of guests at most wedding receptions are, most of the time, well above the amount budgeted for entertainment, if you can find one. They're rare.

Most people opt for a DJ for the reception. The advantages are obvious. Playing recorded music allows the DJ to play something for everyone from the kids at your reception to your elderly great-grandparents. Unlike bands and vocalists, DJs are typically well-versed at functioning as Masters of Ceremonies (MCs), as well. Providing introductions of the wedding party, introducing the bride and groom, hosting the bouquet toss and garter toss and cake cutting - all of the sterotypical wedding faire -require an MC to ensure the flow and adhere to the event time line. Getting people on the dance floor and having a good time is a fundamental prerequisite to calling oneself a DJ.

As is the case with any profession, some DJs are better than others. Barring the ability to see your DJ in action, which is always your best choice, we recommend that you look carefully at your DJ. Does s(he) have a website? Are you provided with planning forms and materials? Is the DJ's music list available to you? Will your guests be able to suggest songs for the reception in advance? Has the DJ offered to meet with you personally? Use your common sense. If the DJ's sales presentation and customer service in advance of the event are unprofessional, what would you expect at the event?

At Klass Act, we take great pride in our customer service, our equipment, our music selection and our ability to entertain, engage a crowd and have a great time without being obtrusive. On your wedding day, you're the star - not us! Our only jobs are to play what you've asked us to play, MC professionally, and make certain that everyone is engaged and having fun!

Within 24 hours after you inquire on line, we will telephone you with an offer to meet with you to further discuss our services. However, we understand that you're very busy in advance of your wedding and offer you the opportunity to acquire a quote ,and plan your entire event on our website if you choose! In either case, you can rest assured that years of experience, personality and a sincere desire to make your event extraordinary and exactly as you envision it make Klass Act the right choice! We make every effort to live up to our name and provide you with a "klass act!" Anyone can spin discs; we entertain and do it with KLASS!
